Biblical Theology
Tuesdays 7:00-9:30
Biblical Theology will examine some of the teachings of the Bible thematically within the larger narrative of Scripture. Topics include the Creator and creation, Jesus and salvation, teachings about the Holy Spirit, the Church, and teachings on war and politics. This course is an 11-week journey into the heart of Christian theology, which will encourage students to know and appreciate the Biblical story in context, as well as applied to current cultural contexts.
Biblical Theology will be taught by Rev. Dr. Kara Mandryk, Kara has a Master’s of Biblical Studies and a Doctorate in the area of Worship. She has been a professor at Providence University College for 16 years, and is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Canada.
Parish Administration
Thursdays 7:00-9:00 pm
Parish Administration is an introduction to the operations of an Anglican parish. Through this 6-week course, students will be exposed to the many aspects of church administration and encouraged to think practically about their own participation in church life. Topics include organisation in the Anglican Church, the roles of Wardens and Vestry, keeping records, conducting meetings, including Annual General Meetings, as well as financial basics including creating budgets and financial statements.
Parish Administration will be taught by Rev. Dr. Rebecca Graham. Rebecca has a Master’s of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry. She and is an ordained pastor in the ELIC and serves as the rector of Christ Church Anglican, The Pas.
