Learn More...

Henry Budd College for Ministry is a dynamic and diverse learning community where theological education and ministry practice take place in a uniquely Indigenous context. We seek to honour and respect Indigenous ways of being and learning in all of our courses, with Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together creating a unique learning community.

We offer numerous streams of ministry education with introductory courses in biblical and theological studies and practical ministry education in liturgy, preaching, and pastoral care. For those who would like more comprehensive training, Henry Budd College offers a Diploma of Ministry.  Additionally, we partner with other educational communities to offer lay reader training and Master of Divinity academic support.

What Does Our Emblem Symbolize?

All throughout history, humans have used symbols to communicate. We believe our emblem communicates our love, purpose and desire for unity among all people.

Hearts

The Canterbury Cross with four red hearts symbolizes the love of Christ in the four Gospels and our love of God in heart, mind, soul and strength.

Four Directions

The Four Directions and Colours are widespread Indigenous symbols. Here, they speak of the Gospel reaching out to all races in all directions.

Footprints

Ten Footprints symbolize the Commandments and walking on the Green circle of Mother Earth under the Sky-Blue arc of Heaven, the home of the Creator, “Kisâ Munitoo” (kind/gentle) Mystery.
